- Anticipation instead of immediate purchase
When I see something I would like to have, I write it in the App SmartLists. When the opportunity arises, I send the list to people who would like to give me a gift, e.g. for my birthday. It's sometimes a bit unusual not to just press the order button or pull out my wallet, but it's worth it. As we all know, anticipation is the best joy. When I then receive something that I had written in my list, the joy is all the more beautiful.
- Summer apero
The first days of summer have inspired me, as I'm sure many of you, to invite people over for a spontaneous aperitif. Planting the balcony was, of course, at the top of my to-do list. Of course, I sent the invitation with SmartLists. I write the names of the invited people in the list so that everyone who comes to the aperitif can select their name and you can see at a glance who will be there. I used to have to dig through my emails and WhatsApp messages, but now everything is collected in one place. For my guests, the invitation via app is also ideal, because with the invitation link they can also see the location and time of the event or whether they should bring a small snack, for example. As is typical, a lot had to be done in a short time. Of course, I also created my to-do list with SmartLists. Ideal, because I can edit this list on Apple and Android devices and even on the computer. This is especially handy when two people with an Apple and Samsung phone want to work off the same to-do list. Thanks to good coordination, no more accidentally doing or shopping for the same products twice on the same day. What took the most time to prepare? My balcony flowers, of course. I had to dig up old daffodil and hyacinth bulbs and prepare them for summer storage. Then it was off to the nursery, and - as befits flower lovers - I came home packed with all sorts of flowers. In addition to gardening, though, I had time to try out a new recipe for arugula breadsticks. In any case, the first summer aperitif this year was a great success.
- Here I could have used SmartLists well
Some time ago a colleague celebrated her birthday. Unfortunately, SmartLists was not yet fully developed, so we had to painstakingly think of what she might want. Of course, I hope that she will send a wish list with her next invitation.

- How to create an interactive video
The other day I asked myself, "Isn't it boring just to watch videos? Shouldn't it be possible to involve viewers more than in a normal video?" Looking for an easy-to-understand program to create more engaging videos, I discovered Eko Studio. Actually, I wanted to prepare the lessons for the new school year. During a surf break, I came across the website of Eko Studio. Eko creates videos in which the website visitors make interactive decisions. That sounds great, but like a lot of effort. Nevertheless, I immediately started to create an interactive video and soon realized that the site works relatively intuitively. What was also unusual was that I was able to create the video without any tutorial from YouTube. Only when inserting the video into this blogpost I encountered minor difficulties. But now that I know how to embed the link from Eko Studio to this blogpost, this should not be a problem in the future. Video link I encourage everyone who wants to create a different kind of video to give Eko Studio a try. Sure, as a free program it has less possibilities than other programs, but for a first insight into the world of interactive videos I do recommend Eko Stuido.
- Why you should gift nail polish for Mother's Day
What are the latest nail polish trends? Especially for those who have never asked themselves this question, here are some tips for the next gift purchase. It's barely getting warmer and I'm already wearing more colorful colors on my fingernails. Like me, the color taste for clothes, nails and accessories also changes with the seasons for many other people. If I want to be a little more specific about current color trends, I also check out Vogue's website. Last year, at least, they were right with their assumption that yellow and green is worn on many fingernails. Whether this will also be the case this year, I will follow with interests. Vogue as well as numerous blogs that report on nail polish trends usually recommend and link nail polishes that you can then order with one click. That's how easy gift shopping is. Seasonal trends, of course, also the big nail polish brands OPI and Essie can't get around, which bring out new collections several times a year. Since these colors are always brand new on the market, they are particularly well suited as a gift for birthdays, Mother's Day and Co. because it really can hardly be more current. I myself orient myself this spring to the colors of the tulips and paint my nails in the classic and often highly praised coral "Cajun Shrimp" from OPI. This color between red, orange and pink finally heralds the spring 2022.
